Marnie Richie Poncy, Esq., RN, Chairperson of Health Council of Southeast Florida and Bioethics Law/Health Care Advocate
Objectives:
  1. Participants will understand what the P.A.C.E program is and eligibility criteria for seniors to participate as well as the referral process to the program.
  2. Participants will be able to identify and access community resources related to and serving the senior population.
  3. Participants will learn who the Aging & Disability Resource Center is and the services offered in Palm Beach and Treasure Coast Counties to assist Seniors, Caregivers and individual with disabilities to navigate available resources.
  4. Participants will understand that the Aging & Disability Resource Center is "the Gateway" to the LTCC program and other public funding for services in the home and assistance for clients contemplating the ALF option.
During this training, attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other local professionals and develop working relationships to make communication and collaboration efficient for future endeavors.

Presenter: Tiffany Parrish, KidCare Regional Navigator for the Treasure Coast from the Health Council of Southeast Florida.
Objectives: 
  1. Participants will learn an overview of Florida KidCare programs available through the application.
  2. Participants will gain knowledge of the population of children eligible for Florida KidCare by age, income and household size.
  3. Participants will be familiarized with HB 5101 that eliminates the five-year wait and creates twenty new populations of eligible children.
  4. Participants will understand the Health Council of Southeast Florida's role as the Regional Navigator of the Treasure Coast and the support available to organizations assisting families with applications.
